The Cooley Center Staff is here to provide you with an awesome Personal Training Program. PT is an extra fee, aside from your membership, but is a great way to get motivated and stay on top of your goals. We offer a variety of packages.
If you are someone who needs motivation, fresh ideas or has the desire to reach a particular goal, then personal training is for you. It is completely up to you whether you would like extended training packages or individual sessions. Personal training is also great for the novice exerciser that needs help with form and instruction on how to use equipment and weights properly.
Q: Do you do shorter than 1 hour appointments?
A: This all depends on you and the trainer. Please ask your trainer if they do sessions shorter than 60 minutes and the prices that would be associated with that.
Q: What happens if I cancel my appointment in less than 24 hours?
A: Unfortunately, you will be charged for that session. Our personal training program is based on client accountability. Also, out of the respect to the trainer’s schedules, you are asked that all cancelations and scheduling is done 24 hours prior to your session.
Q: What do I eat before my session?
A: You’ll also want to eat something light before your workout with a personal trainer. An hour before your morning appointment, have a bowl of cereal or some light yogurt and granola. An hour before an evening or afternoon session, have a serving of lean protein (like tuna) and a piece of fruit or fresh veggies.
Q: Is my fitness level high enough to work with a Personal Trainer?
A: Of course! The Personal Trainers at Cooley work with clients of all fitness levels. Please check out our staff bios to see which trainer is most suitable for you. We select exercises and programs based on YOUR fitness level to provide the appropriate workouts.
Q: What should I wear?
A: Please be sure to wear comfortable athletic wear. You’ll be moving around the whole time, so be sure you feel secure, with sturdy yet breathable clothes. Try to wear stiff-soled tennis shoes instead of a “trainer” style tennis shoe.
Q: Does anyone train weekends?
A: All of the trainers at the Cooley Center have an array of schedules. Please ask the trainers their schedules so you can find a good match for you.
Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
A: At the Cooley Center, we only accept debit/credit card payments via the portal by purchasing PT sessions.
Q: What happens if I am ever late?
A: It’s ok! We understand that things may come up. Please communicate with your trainer so they can plan accordingly. Unfortunately, if you are late, you are not guaranteed a full session. The trainer may have to cut your session short.
Q: How many times a week should I meet with a trainer?
A: Just like the program itself, how many times you meet with a trainer is a very individualized decision that depends on a variety of factors, including your fitness goals and your motivation level.
